- How does the provider profile work?

The provider profile is owned and operated by the provider, not by the clinic or medical facility that they work for. Like other competitors we don’t create profiles on your behalf using information
stored on third party databases. We want the providers profile to be under the providers control so that the providers and patients using the platform know that the information that they are reading is authentic and current. This means that if a provider upskills, changes jobs or moves locations all they need to is update their profile and it will automatically update. This is a great way to keep the wider medical community updated so they aren’t sending referral to clinics where you no longer practice. - Can a clinic take control of the Medical Mecca profiles of their current providers?

Yes, if the provider agrees to it. Some medical clinics have seen the benefit of their providers having Medical Mecca profiles for marketing and administrative purposes and so have decided to fund the fee of the profile. The profile however remains under the control of the health care professional in question.
- Who owns Medical Mecca?

Unlike other platforms Medical Mecca is not owned by Health Insurance Companies or Super Funds. We are owned and operated by a small team of health care providers who still work in their current roles. As we work within the system we understand it and are driven to improve efficiency so we can spend more time using our skills for their intended purpose – treating patients.
- Can patients book appointments online via my provider profile?

Yes! Copy and paste the booking URL from your current practice management software into the designated area and that will direct the patient directly to you online booking platform.
- How do you use my profile for marketing?

When you sign up a profile with Medical Mecca we may use information off your profile including photograph and booking information in our social media channels as well as in printed media. We do not use any information that is currently not on your profile however if you do not wish for us to use your information in external sources send us an email to team@medicalmecca.com.au and we will ensure not use your profile for any of marketing.
- Can you link my provider profile to my social media pages?

Yes! Provide the relevant tags and this will direct patients to your social media channels and pages. This is a great way to direct traffic to your socials.
- How do you use my information?

The information you provide to Medical Mecca to create your profile is used for the purpose that it is intended. The information is often no different to what is listed on your current website however is just a more user friendly way to direct perspective patients to where they want to go. - Why is there a fee to create a profile on Medical Mecca?

It is expensive to create and host software of this size on the internet. As we consist of a small team of health care professionals we have to source our tech talent externally. To cover the cost of this we decided to attach a fee to the profile as it means we don’t have to use ads on the platform to create an income stream to host the website. Ads slow the website down which can dampen the
user experience, we also didn’t want ads distracting perspective patients away from them trying to find you. The funds generated from Medical Mecca are used towards philanthropic means to help improve the health and wellbeing of the Australian community. If you have a community organisation or health initiative aimed at improving health or improving access to healthcare please submit your proposal to us at team@medicalmecca.com.au.
