It is expensive to create and host software of this size on the internet. As we consist of a small team of health care professionals we have to source our tech talent externally. To cover the cost of this we decided to attach a fee to the profile as it means we don’t have to use ads on the platform to create an income stream to host the website. Ads slow the website down which can dampen the
user experience, we also didn’t want ads distracting perspective patients away from them trying to find you. The funds generated from Medical Mecca are used towards philanthropic means to help improve the health and wellbeing of the Australian community.
